not trying to be a jerk, but i really don't think it's realistic to expect to get back in on monday. when monday was mentioned as the target date for that, they thought they would have the levee plugged, and they weren't anticipating this big of a problem with rampant crime.

i HOPE you all get to go back in soon, but i don't think it looks likely just yet.

I agree, they are having so many more problems now, I dont see how they would suddenly pull together enough to tell all the polics what to do when checking ID's and shit.

Not to mention all the people that will drive back on a quarter tank of gas expecting to fill up once they are there and then getting stuck.

that "most recent update" features a quote from broussard that was stated early this week (i think monday night or early tuesday... it's all a blur). i don't think that will hold in light of how the situation worsened afterwards.
